Our Company

The purpose of Royal Iceland is to produce safe and authentic food products.

The functioning of the food quality and safety system, in accordance with the requirements of HACCP and the requirements of food law, allows for complex and efficient management of the business and is aimed at ensuring compliance of food products placed on the market with the HACCP requirements and customer customer expectations. We ensure health safety in the food chain by adhering to GMP and GHP rules as well as analyzing hazards and monitoring critical control points throughout the entire technological cycle, from accepting the raw material to delivering the product to the customer. Microbiological tests of the product are performed in accordance with the applicable schedules by an external, accredited laboratory of Biochemik Sp. z o.o. 

Factory located in Żnin

Znin is located in north-central Poland close to Express Road S5.
Very good access to Poznań and Bydgoszcz – about 35 minutes.

The Royal Iceland produces and delivers excellent quality of goods addressed to ‘’Asian Cuisine’’ sales points.

We offer Masago, Tobiko, Shimesaba and more all of the highest quality.

Factory located in Njarðvík

Royal Iceland hf is formed under the name Bakkavor in 1999 and under the current name from year 2013. 

From the very beginning the company has specialized in fish roe from Iceland like cod roe and lump fish roe.  The roe from Iceland come both as cod roe paste with or without ingredients, as whole IQF A grade roe is sac’s or as ready product as caviar in sauce or masago.  In 2013 the company started its own fishing operation and has been fishing whelk, crab, sea urchin and Sea cucumber. The main fishing operation is from Stykkisholmur in Breidafjord,  one of the most beautiful Fjord in Iceland with thousands of Islands creating perfect condition for fishing of the species in shallow clean waters that Royal Iceland is targeting.

Our production points are located in Njardvik, Iceland and Żnin, Poland.. Both factories work in line with all food safety standards required by both FDA and EU regulations.
